Dr Jacinta Hatton brings over 14 years of experience in complex trauma and perinatal mental health to her training and consultation practice. As one of Australia’s few EMDRAA Accredited EMDR Trainers, The Aquila Centre is the result of that experience, with trainings developed specifically for clinicians who want more from their practice.

Meet your trainer

Dr Jacinta Hatton is a Clinical Psychologist, EMDRAA Accredited EMDR Trainer and Consultant, Advanced Schema Therapist, and endorsed Clinical Supervisor.

She has spent over 14 years working across complex trauma and perinatal mental health, including roles at the Sexual Assault Resource Centre, King Edward Memorial Hospital, and the Mother Baby Unit.

She trains and consults with clinicians nationally, presents at conferences on the application of EMDR in perinatal contexts, and runs dedicated EMDR consultation groups including a perinatal-focused group. Her approach is warm, compassionate, and deeply grounded in real clinical experience.

The Aquila Centre offers therapy for adults navigating PTSD, perinatal mental health concerns, and related presentations, approached with genuine warmth and a non-judgemental understanding of what you are carrying.

Jacinta is at full capacity for new therapy clients. For other options, your GP can assist with a referral, or you can find an accredited therapist via the EMDRAA website.
